FINAL REPORT ON OUR GRIN [GAHANNA RESIDENTS IN NEED] 2008 EFFORT

Progressive Friends,

You made a wonderful giving effort to provide a good Christmas for the family we adopted for Dec 2008. This was our first try at adopting a Gahanna Residents In Need family and it was a great success.

Through your generosity, we gave the family a Kroger gift card worth $145.00 and a box of oranges. Besides a holiday dinner, that will help with January meals.

The 2 boys, Herbert and Taj, received the 2 toys each of them hoped for and some books. They also got a pair of jeans each, a couple shirts and a hat for each boy.

Nancy Williams took a picture of the accumulated gifts right before Sharon Montgomery and Brenda Lindenmayer picked them up to take to the family. It will be found among pictures on the website soon.

Sharon and Brenda reported that the mom, Shirley, and both boys greeted them when they delivered the presents. They each told Sharon and Brenda thank you and also gave her a thank you note signed by all three of them. The thank you note has been added to our website by Stephen Renner.

So be glad of the help you provided one of our neighbors this season. Your kindness is a wonderful part of a progressive outlook.

Sheryl
